    As several folks mentioned, the secret to great homemade pizza is a clay pizza stone for the oven. This ensures a crisp crust. It really makes the difference between good and great pizza.     I got a French mandoline for a gift...and it doesn't have strings but my zucchini is now probably much straighter and longer than most...
