    ive googled, but all ive found are ripping forums...i just wanna know what it is ???

    Yep just think of it as dolby digital on steroids. Its up to 7.1 channels. Needs an hdmi receiver to be able to reproduce it properly. Otherwise it will be downconverted to normal 5.1 audio (possibly to 6.1 if you have a non hdmi 6.1 receiver - I only have a 5.1 so I can't tell you with my ps3 - its connected via fiber optic).

    Oh same goes for dts master audio.

    Edit - I forgot isn't there lossless pcm surround sound for bluray?
    Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    i ended up having to convert to standard 5.1ch AC3 for it to work on my WDTV media player.
