Set the player to output 16:9?

And what do you mean by "all the movies"? Are you talking about Divx AVI files? DVDs? VOB? MPG?

Sounds like either your player is not set to output widescreen (i.e. it doesn't know it has a widescreen TV attached), or these videos are not encoded 1:1 and the player doesn't know how to handle the AR flag.

The first can be fixed by changing the settings in your player.

The second will potentially require resizing and re-encoding your videos. I would start with MediaIno and look at the how the videos are flagged. You might then be able to use Mpeg4Modifier to alter the flags, however this may not help the player unless the flags are wrong to begin with.
