So do you like fresh popped pop corn? Or do you like it day old or store bought (the prepopped type?)

I like both depending on my mood. THough if I make popcorn it usually isn't around long enough to be "aged"

And I generally don't buy store bags of prepopped popcorn (like cheesecorn) unless I'm at work and its one of those little personal size ones.

    How about you?

I take this akin to fresh home made bread versus day old also - nothing beats home made bread except if its aged the next day. There is something that happens to it that makes it taste almost better than when it was fresh out of the oven....

HA! I got in trouble at the theater once because I snuck in a big bag of Corn Nuts.
Much more fragrant and noisy than popcorn!

sneaking in food xylob??? for shame.....

Actually I rarely ever get popcorn at the theater. For me its usually nachos and pretzels (the big gourmet type that AMC theaters carry). Sometimes I'll get a hot dog....

Eating theater concession food is half the fun of going to the show

I'll take it anyway I can get it!

But if I had to choose I would probably have got fresh popped...but it also depends on my mood.

I also like popcorn with different flavors like cheese, sour creme onion and such .

Fresh popped. Preferably from the movie theatre with lots of that stuff they call butter and a salt shaker so I can keep adding it all the way through the bucket. (And a pox on them if they don't have the bucket).
    Otherwise fresh microwaved.

For some reason, about a year ago, my younger son decided he wanted to buy a real corn popper.

We looked around, found one that was in his budget, and he did the deal.

Since then, I've often wondered how I could stomach some of the popcorn I've eaten in days gone by. Most of it pales in comparison.

That kid and his popper make some fine fresh-popped corn.

I have been filling up on popcorn for years.
My prefered method is regular kernals popped in a microwave popping bowl. The bowls are great as you do need to use any oil to pop the corn. You can if you like, but I usually don't. The shape of the bowl and the water in the kernals create the pop.
I usually eat it dry, but I also have a favorite recipe that has been nicknamed 'stinky-feet popcorn' becuase that's what it smell like, though it tastes great!

  14. I'm surprised "Depends on my mood" isn't higher in the standings. Most people like fresh popcorn, sure... but I'm not one to turn down kettlecorn or pre-packaged carmelcorn either. Neither of those can be considered fresh.

I only eat the popcorn that comes packed with my computer parts. Although I swear the white cheese covered variety tastes like foam.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

  18. Popcorn is an evil food and a scourge upon all mankind. It is number one on the list of foods I am not allowed to eat.
It is a major cause of serious gastrointestinal problems.

Before you pick up another bowl I strongly urge you to investigate your family medical history for any intestinal problems going back several generations.

I say this after my fifth session of the day with the Hi-Pressure SandBlasting FireHose, which is at least somewhat preferrable to the Intermittant Rapid-firing Bowling-ball Transmutation Cannon.

I hopped 3 theaters, drank wine from a bota bag and drank bourbon from a flask but only got into trouble when I asked the theater personnel to nuke my bag of Act 1 w/Butter. I couldn't fit the 3rd bag into my coat. I'm surprised The bota, flask and 2 nuked bags of corn made it in hidden in my parka especially when it was 105 deg. Never press your luck.
