    i have a ps3 60 gig one of the originals ,also have a panasonic dvd home theatre system ive got my sky running through it ok,just want to know if i can come from the ps3 into the theatre system for the surrond sound,,i see there are 2 outputs on the ps3 at the back can i use any of them ? or do you have you own solution many thanks in advance

    Two choices - fiber optic or hdmi. I have a newer 40gig ps3. Same story.

    If your amp has hdmi inputs use that. If you only have fiber optic use that.

    FYI you have to go to the audio menu in the setting tabs to change between hdmi and fiber optic manually each time you want to change.

    If you have hdmi to the tv and fiber optic to the stereo you have to manually change between the two depending on how you want the audio to play.

    Also, if you have a newer amp that handled HD surround sound (not just standard 5.1 AC3) then you MUST use audio over HDMI. The optic connection down mixes the audio to standard 5.1
