Just got a new PC with a WinTV - HVR 1800 card in it.

I am looking for some good capture software that will capture in DVD MPEG 2 and have the same features (as in ways to setup the video, frame rate, aspect ratio, etc..) as the ATI MMC does as I have been using that for years but cannot any longer with my new card.

    Thanks for the help....

When I had hauppauge several years ago I could configure pretty much using the included wintv2000 program, I think I had to use hack to get the advanced features.

Thanks for the info, I will check out that site.

I have looked through the Win TV Settings and it doesnt seem to allow me to setup the kind of capturing I want (exact framerate, capture bit rates, video resolution, etc..) and of all their built in settings (DVD, DVD Standard, DVD Long Play, etc..), none are exactly what I want.

Do you know exactly what hacks you used to get advanced features?

    Thank you!

I added that reg entry to my Win TV 6 and got the advanced settings, exactly what I wanted!

Anyway to set the One Touch Record setting to exactly the time you want?
