Hi, i have just bought a new SD camcorder, a Toshiba H10. The files it produces are in .avi format, but use the h.264 codec. I have installed the codecs as well. The problem is, when I import into movie maker, I drag on to the time line, but when I go to split the clip or just trim it, everything after the cut, just displays as a black screen, but the audio is still there. It installs the ffdshow codec.
I work in a school, and these are used in the classrooms, so the preffered editor is movie maker, as comes with XP. I have converted over to .wmv to check and works ok, but would be hassle while the students are editing.
Is there a way around this?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Thanks, giving them ago, but not much luck at the moment!
I guess we may have to move on from using movie maker!
