What is your most used Disc Burning utility?

Ok this is my poll but it is directly inspired from ally68's poll suggestion of most used zip compression utility.

So what is your most used burning app?

On my xp machine I'd say prassi ones. On my vista pc its roxio creator basic 9 (hey it was preinstalled and it does what I need it to - don't laugh ).

I'm gonna predict imgburn gets the hands down top vote here at this website. It would be interesting to see where nero and roxio end up.

Without a doubt, it will be imgburn. It's one of the best, if not the best and on top of that it's free.

Nero, simpy because DVDShrink automatically uses it to burn a DVD after compressing. I've read that there's a version of DVDShrink that uses ImgBurn, but I've never actually located a copy.

Check for the last release - 3.2 I think.

I personally like CDBurnerXP, a free burning software which does everything I need from a burning software

Most times I use CloneDVD2 because I'm lazy and half the time I need some compression. But next or if I am burning something off the hard drive I use Imgburn. I think you should have added CloneDVD2 to the choices.

eh that's why I said "disc burning" not dvd burning.....

yeah I know with drive storage increases you don't really need to burn that much anymore but its still an interesting question...

I use Nero 6 simply because it was the first that I ever used and it usually works. I don't like to use Imgburn because it is too geeky (nowhere on program interface does it mention "Burn DVD Files". I cannot accept that degree of geekyness. However, if Nero doesn't work, then I use Imgburn.

I used to be a die hard nero supporter but it's so bloated with crap now (when there is better freeware/cheaper programs that do a better job out there). Now I'm a big user of imgburn with prassiones being a light year second.

On the subject of LightningUK, I would love to see other projects by him appear.

Imgburn for DVD, Burrrn for audio CD. I wish Imgburn improved its audio CD capabilities, to make it more "one-click". Also I wish it would add a "multisession CD-RW" option as this would be handy at my work and I could uninstall Nero, which I hate.

One thing with Imgburn is when I rip an audio CD to an image file, then burn it onto a blank CD, it invariably tells me "not enough room on the disk", although there is of course, and it burns just fine.

InfraRecorder for CD/DVD. It's free, works great and there's a 64-bit version I use in XPx64.
Imgburn for my BD-5 / BD-9 disks

Okay this poll is really shocking me. I'm surprised that nero is leading the pack with such a wide margin. I thought that imgburn would be blowing the others away by now.

Maybe nero is on top because it comes bundled with a lot of burners. Still it really surprises me.

Home computers
DVD video = ImgBurn
DVD data = Nero
The occasional CD it's usually Nero or Imgburn for ISOs

Work computers
DVD video = Imgburn
DVD data = CDBurnerXP (I have preinstalled Roxio, but it takes forever for this bloatware to finish)
CD = CDBurnerXP or Imgburn for ISOs

I use an older version of copytodvd for both dvd+r & dvd+r DL discs.
