Stop working and can't get it to work again...

I've had this program for quite some years now and had a problem running it a few days ago. I've tried repairing it with no success. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Now I'm stuck on the registration part. All the registration info is already in the boxes but when I click register it disappears and I have to go through the process all over again. Can someone please tell me what is going on? What can I do to get it working again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm stuck in this same spot, except I am running vista, I tried the running as admin trick that worked before
but not now.This is after the recent Service Pack 2 update from Microsoft.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER SP2 UPDATE VISTA 64 BIT TO MAKE IT WORK I DELETED THE SHORT CUT ON THE DESKTOP THEN UNINSTALL THE PRGRAMME MAKE A NEW FOLDER IN C DRIVE C:\SVCD2DVDv2.5 THEN REINSTALL SVCD TO THIS FOLDER ONCE INSTALLED MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO SVCD SHORTCUT ON THE DESKTOP IF YES REMOVE IT THEN GO TO THE
C:\SVCD2DVDv2.5 INSTALL FOLDER AND MAKE A SHORT CUT TO THE DESK TOP FROM THERE

IT SEEMS LIKE THE SHORTCUT WAS MY PROBLEM TRY DELETING IT AND MAKING A NEW ONE FROM THE INSTALL PROGRAMME BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL THIS SHOULD WORK BUT I HAVENT TRIED IT

My problem is I already uninstalled it. after re-install all I have is SVC2DVD DEMO, I believe after successful register it creates SVC2DVD.exe, problem being the registration wizard comes up with all my information but it doesn't register?
