Are there any codecs I need to download in order to make sure GOM Player can show the menu cursor and subtitles while playing a DVD? Because now, the DVD playback works perfectly, but I forgot which codec I need to enable the cursor and subtitles.

Don't know if there is any cursor here, but the subtitles you can show and hide simply from the player menu.
The codecs are used for video and audio playback, and this player comes with a pre-installed codecs.
Only sometimes, if it can't play a file, it downloads the necessary codecs and installs them automatically.

What I mean is that I cannot turn on the subtitles while playing a DVD using GOM Player, and the menus don't highlight the options on the menus. Am I missing any codecs/softwares to fix this?

Actually, I figured it out. I am missing the Mpeg2dec Filter. The bad news is, I can't find it. Is there ANY direct link where I can get it so that DVDs play properly on GOM Player?

Yes. Click on Mpeg2dec in your post or mine and it will pull up a page with a direct link to download it. "Direct link" is the 2nd download option.

That won't help. It will just redirect to DGMPGDec, and I don't want that. I want Mpeg2dec Filter. And you know, this used to be the link to get this filter:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

But now, it doesn't work. Whereelse am I supposed to get it? Besides that, I even tested it on Media Player Classic, nothing happened, and NO, I DO NOT want to use VLC Media Player. Only WMP 11 shows the subtitles and menu highlighting cursor.
