I have a virus on my computer can anyone help?

Whenever i turn it on it turns back off within 5 min! What do i do?

You have to do better than that, it's not enough information.

By "it" I presume you mean the computer? That symptom, by itself, would suggest overheating. Have you ruled that out? And what makes you think the problem is a virus?

How is this germane to the capturing forum?

How do you know it's a virus?
What anti-virus sw are you running?
Did you get an alert?
Could be that your system is over heating

Jump into safe mode ... if it stays powered up then grab malwarebytes, install, update, let it rip ... at end, show results, and click remove objects found, reboot back into safe mode.

If not able to stay powered up in safe mode then

a: Remove all non-essential connected peripherals... and if kids around, check they haven't jammed a coin into usb slots ... it happens around here, lolll
b: Remove any non-essential addon internal cards (if onboard video available and your using addon gpu, remove and go back to onboard for tests)
c: Clear "dust bunnies" from fans gently (system power off and power removed first).
d: Pull all data cables and reinsert them ... they can come loose or not be fitted properly.

Try in safe mode now

e: If no go, quickly when in safe mode uninstall any ms update applied around time of system fault developing ... yes, ms has once again started delivering some buggy updates of late... reboot back into safe mode.

Still ?

f: Boot the thing with a bootable linux distro ... any will do as test we want to see if it can stay up and running which might point to a major issue with the windows os.

Still no go, time for final plug

g: Try another psu ... the current one may have issue's
h: Replace heatsink compound ... replace with artic silver 5 paste ... just follow the instructions it comes with.

If after all this, scrap the os and reload from new... failing this would lead to motherboard at fault
