Playback issues in FCP

I imported some .mov files into final cut and placed them in my timeline, but when I play through them, the clips freeze towards the end before playing all the way through. The clip afterwards plays fine, until the end, when it freezes before playing the next clip.

I've set the RT to playback settings, but its still not working.

Any suggestions would be great.

As a beginner I have my QT movie at 640x480 (4:3) I set the same on the settings. it was working fine for a while and now I have the same issues. I have that strobe frame thing everytime cut to the next video. all the clips are render in the time line and try the RT on full quality, and use playback settings on best quality, normal, nothing works. any ideas?
