You could look into some of the Oppo players: http://www.oppodigital.com/ But they're not cheap.

Rs 5000 would be about $105US, I think. The Oppo's would be more than that.
Maybe a Philips 5990 would be about that much, depending on your prices there.

    And welcome to our forums.

Consumers Reports seems to like the Pioneer DV-410V .

This top-rated Pioneer DVD player is an excellent overall performer, with top-notch picture quality for progressive-scan and standard-def. It has a USB port for playing digital music, videos, and photos stored on a removable flash drive.

    Highs
Excellent progressive-scan (480p) picture quality when playing film-based DVDs; it was very good with video-based DVDs. Excellent 480i picture quality when playing either film- or video-based DVDs. Very good overall ease of use. Has USB port, and can play MP3, WMA, DivX and JPEG files stored on a removable flash drive.

And it also has a usable remote, unlike the toy that Philip's use.

I generally like how the Philps performs but it's not very sturdy. I would love to get a Oppo, but the prices are more than I want to spend for a player. But the Pioneer looks interesting.
