Is it possible to convert a AVCHD (MTS) video into JPEG's, so a 5 minute movie at 30 fps becomes 9,000 JPEG's? Thanks.

  2. You can do it with avisynth + virtualdub

Install haali media splitter, ffdshow, avisynth

Open a text file with notepad in the same directory as your .mts file, write the following, then change the extension from .txt to .avs (change the filename to match):

    DirectShowSource("file.mts")

Then open that .avs file in virtualdub, file=>export=>image sequence and choose your settings for export (e.g. jpg, quality, etc...)

I followed the instructions, but the VirtualDub program won't open the .avs file.
    Any suggestions?
