Change PM notify text?

Right now, I'll get this:

Hello lordsmurf,

You have received a new private message to your account on "VideoHelp.com" and you have requested that you be notified on this event. You can view your new message by clicking on the following link:

http://forum.videohelp.com/privmsg.php?folder=inbox

Remember that you can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the appropriate setting in your profile.

On another forum, powered by vBulletin, I use a slightly more helpful PM notice:

Hey $touserinfo[username],

$fromusername sent you a private message at the XXXXXXXXXX.com Forums.

To read or reply to your new PM, titled "$plaintext_title", login to the forum and check your message! 

Login here: $vboptions[bburl]/private.php

For example, it would be:

Hey lordsmurf,

Baldrick sent you a private message at the VideoHelp.com Forums.

To read or reply to your new PM, titled "Gargamel banned", login to the forum and check your messages!

Remember that you can always choose not to be notified of new messages by changing the appropriate setting in your profile.

This tells me the title of the PM, and who it's from.

Before I go through the process of stopping what I'm doing, opening a web browser, and checking the message, it might be nice to see if it's worth my immediate attention. If not, I'll look at it on my next regular visit.

Could this be done?

There might be some sought of mod that can perform this, but otherwise, baldrick would have to code it, SMF does the same.

I believe when Baldrick updates the forum (he works on it for some months now), this gonna be in.

Hey, remember when I asked about this exact feature for the regular "notification" emails..the admin upated it to show WHO is posting and a brief first 255 char of the message. It was perfect. Then, right after that, I said, you know, if would be great to have PM built the same way, but then I thought I would be pushing it too far and so I never asked. But I wanted that feature for PM also--same time topics was being worked on.

Finally, after ..how many years I started this.. ? someone got up the nurve to ask. Thanks ls.
