I've got a Casio EX-F1 that records in AVCHD and stores in a .mov file. I'm on Windows Vista 64bit. I want the videos to play on-choppily in Media Player Classic. I believe getting ffdshow to load will do the trick as when it loads with Windows Media Player the video plays very smoothly.

    - I can playback all my videos just fine in QuickTime player.
    - In Windows Media Player the video plays fine, but there is no audio (I have AC3filter and it loads for other video.. dunno why not here). ffdshow loads when the files open in it. Haali also loads.
    - In Media Player Classic (homecinema) the video and audio both play, but the video is extremely choppy. ffdshow does not load. Haali loads.

GraphStudio shows that ffdshow *should* load:

I have disabled all internal filters in MPC. I have set ffdshow to decode all H.264/AVC with ffmpeg-mt.

How do I get MPC to load ffdshow?

UPDATE: If I rename the files from .mov to .mpg ffdshow loads and the files play nicely. But now the audio won't load.

Would prefer a solution that doesn't make me change the file extension and plays both audio and video smoothly.

Yeah VLC works well with it too. I don't really like it as a player though. I'd really like to get MPC working.. I feel like it should be a simple fix, but I can't find what's wrong.

Perhaps you should try QuicktimeAlternative to play *.mov files in MPCHC. IIRC, there were some (unofficial) bug reports on the author's site about decoding QT movies with ffdshow. Dunno if it's been fixed or not, and the changelog is longer than I care to read. :P

    Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
