I have recorded some film with my Panasonic SDR-H81 camcorder at a 704x 576 resolution with a 25 frame rate and an aspect ratio of 16:9.

I have been using MAGIX Edit Pro 14 to first mix it down and then upload to YouTube. By the time it gets to YouTube there is a significant loss of quality.

    Can anyone assist?

    Thanks

  2. to keep the quality as much as possible edit, then render the mpeg2 with magix to a lossless format like huffyuv at 1024x576. import that avi into handbrake(or your h264 encoder of choice) and render it to x264 mpeg-4 with aac audio with the same size, 1024x576 at a bitrate of about 2000kbps.

the lossless avi will be about 10x bigger than the mpeg2 so make sure to have plenty of disc space.
