Anyone know how to extract subtitles stored in an AVI? I have an AVI that has subtitles that appear to be stored inside the AVI file, similar to what you would see in an OGM or MKV file.

When looking at the file list in Mplayer, only the audio and video IDs are seen and the subs do not show up in the list nor do they play.

Also, when I open the file in VirtualDubMod, select the Stream list, I don't see any subs in there either.

However, when I play the AVI file in Media Player, FFDShow and DirectVobSub popup in the Systems Tray and the Subs play.

I need to put this AVI file on DVD, is there a way to extract the Subtitles from the AVI. This is the first time I have seen an AVI file like this and didnt even know it could be done, even though I guess AVI is a container as well. I tried using Avisynth with the DirectShow Filter but the Subs didnt show there either.

Again, I need to put this AVI file on DVD, so the best solution would be to somehow burn them into AVI file when encoding using an AVISynth function to somehow select the Subtitle, but if there is an extraction program, that would be fine too.

Below is the MediaInfo, as you can see, it says that there is an SSA file inside, but I have no idea how to extract it.

    Code:

Midzuki, I downloaded that an hour ago but I couldn't figure out how to extract. The "Mux" implies that you are muxing and not demuxing.

I will retry to use the software. Also, do you know if this tool has a CLI?

Midzuki, I figured out how to extract them manually.

Any idea about using a CLI, there are quite a bit of files like this?

Okay, appearantly, I can make an "AMG" File that uses scripting.

Anybody know how I could make an AVI Mux Script file that extracts Subtitles from multiple files? Kind of like a Loop.
