  1. I have been attempting all day to edit a MPg2-PS file. I am trying to do the following

1 - Crop some of the vertical line resolution (the file is 1280x1088 I want to make it to 1280x1080)

2 - delete a part of the beginning and the end

I have tried avidemux which hasn't worked, (audio won't sync which is a common issue, and filters won't work when cropping)

DGindex which doesn't allow me to Re-mux the file
    MPG video wizard
TPGenc which is forcing to re-encode the file
Videoredo does everything I want but I can't crop the file

I do not want to compress the file at all

What program would you recommend I use to do the things I want

    Thanks

1280x1088 is a new one for me. Where did you find that?

  5. when extracting files from my dvr , it added an additional 8 lines on the bottom. According to DGindex it warns me "your stream specifies a display height of 1088. This is sometimes an encoding mistake and the last 8 lines are garbage. Do you want to treat it as if it specified a height of 1080?"

and yea they are just 8 lines of grey line garbage at the bottom of the screen which is annoying to look at. So I want to take those lines out and cut the beginning and the end off without losing quality

    Thanks again

Now that I think of it DGindex corrects the video problem but I can't find a program to Re-mux the video and audio stream back together after it corrects the 8 lines of garbage,

What program could I use to re-mux the file ?

Try TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2 (or even MPEG Video Wizard).
