Converting M2TS video

Hi there.

I have just purchased a Sony HDR-CX105E cam, and I would like to take the captures video, save it on my pc, and convert it to a format without much quality loss.

I then want to view these files by streaming them through my Xbox 360.

Can anyone help me regarding what software to purchase, and also which format to convert to ??

Try handbrake and use the xbox 360 profiles.

Or it might be possible to stream the m2ts directly if you just have the right codecs installed, ffdshow, haali media splitter. Read for example http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1019494 .
