Hi I am new here in this forum, hope you don't rip of my head for asking what I am about to.

I have been working with premiere on and of for quite some time now and it is actually not the editing I need help with. More the start up project and export the movie in the end. I always get a pretty bad result in the end quality vice.

Could someone point me in a direction with some tutorials about this?

A Google search will give you endless links on Premiere tutorials. For your situation, it appears you are confused about presets, video export settings, etc. There are also plenty of books on using Premiere.

To instruct you on the best choices, one would need to know what sort of source video files you are working with (i.e., mpeg2, dv-avi, etc.) , and what your goals are for end presentation (DVD, web streaming, etc.).

So, is your footage from camcorder tape, disc, download or what? Is your target distribution DVD, YouTube, or what?

Could you give us a bit more information about the 'quality' problem?

For tutorials, just do a internet search for ' premiere cs3 tutorials ' and you should find quite a few. There's also some links on the bottom of the Premiere tool page in our 'Tools' section to the left.

    And welcome to our forums.

The more specific the question, the easier it is for us to answer.

This is the guide I give to everybody -- it starts off with the most basic info -- and then gives links on where to get moderate to advanced information.

Hi and thanks for the replies.

A little information on what I am doing atm. I have a lot of images (png) 1280x720 that I want to make into a video that will run on a computer with a 19'' screen. It has a lot of animation in it and a lot of movement. I want it to loose as little quality as possible.

And now I will look at the guide.

    Have a nice Friday
