Sony EVO-9800 Pro Hi-8 deck, can't get hours

hey all, i searched for a while and came up with nothing.

i can't seem to get the total hours off of this pro deck I have, Sony EVO-9800. I tried fiddling with the MENU, DATA, and SET buttons but to no avail. I also can't find a switch on board that resembles anything about what I'm looking for.

I searched the web for manuals but this deck must be too old, b/c all I see are manuals I have to buy in .pdf for $20 or more.

Can anyone here help me out?

Hi,To switch on the menu put the counter 3 way switch to its bottom position then press the jog dial in till it clicks then press the menu button and you should get something come up on the screen.let me know how you get on.col
