About 3-4 years ago I was capturing VHS and putting them on DVD using VirtualDub mod and CCE using framserving (if I remember right). Now I need to do it again. The ATI AIW card that I was using at that time died, I also have a Kworld card with Conexant chipset Mpeg-2 encoder that I'm not sure even works right.

So since my comp is better than a few years ago, I'd like to know if there's newer/better and especially easier software that I can use to cap VHS & put on DVD. I've read thru the guides/posts & cant seem to find a consensus as to what's the best software to use. TY.

There are a ton of capture devices now that you simply plug into a USB slot some even have onboard Mpeg2 encoder chips so all you have to do after capture is author you DVD. The Pinnacle Video Creator Plus has been getting good reviews.
