    Hi
I recently downloaded one video split in 4 parts. However they come with "Document" or "File" format, and they are named like this:
    example.avi.01
    example.avi.02
    example.avi.03
    example.avi.04
I tried to merge them with regular programs that I downloaded, but they don´t recognize them as video files, so therefore I cannot merge them into one video. How is it done??
    Thanks!

It is possible that the programs you tried don't recognize the file extensions. Try to rename them to something like
    example01.avi
    instead of
    example.avi.01
    It might help.

Assuming it's been split "cleanly", try something like this from a command prompt in the folder where the files are...

    COPY /B example.avi.01+example.avi.02+example.avi.03 combined.avi

    Trev
(now try & do that from GUI!)

Sometimes files named like that are rar or par files, try using 7-zip to join them using the first .01 file.

The files were at the end with the following index "avi.001" (example.avi.001) that is why HJ Slip recognize it, but I have others that are "avi.0", "avi.1", etc and HJ Slip doesn´t recognize them :S. For some reason they should be "avi.001". How do I merge the new ones??

I solved it already... just needed to rename the files as .001, .002, etc files and join them later with HJ Split.
Thanks to all for the effort anyways!! ;o)
