    bought a Bravia KDL-46S3000. When i played my collections of divx movies in my external usb hdd thru my dvd player, i got these slight mosaic effect in the display. Is this normal for divx format? what can i do to enhance the picture in my tv?

    Let's see - low bitrate, low resolution Divx files, played on a HD television - I wont what it will look like ?

    I would suggest that the only way you get the files looking close to OK is with something with a very good upscaler. My crappy Divx files look very average played through a standard Divx playing DVD player, but look far better through the PS3.

    It doesn't look too bad at that small size. But zoom in and you see this:



    That's a crude nearest neighbor 4x zoom (aka point resize) but it gives you an idea of what the HDTV has to start with when enlarging to a big screen.
