    -xbox360 in MP4 can not go higher than 2.0 audio in AAC-LC?
    -are there any other ways/formats to make a rip that will play on BOTH? preferably with 5.1 audio?
    -any other info would be appreciated

    EDIT: nvm, seems like external subs, 5.1 audio can not be done to work with both consoles...i guess the best audio option is to demux the L4.1 video into its own file & then make seperate audio files ready to mux for either console...

    does anyone know a good tool to mux an xbox compatible mp4 with an AAC-LC track and its original AC3 track as a secondary?

    Just to go back to your original topic - have you tried hd divx or hd xvid with ac3 on both systems? I think divx or xvid hd should be compatible on both.
