You have codec packs and Nero, and wonder why it is failing ?

There is no place for codec packs on a sane person's machine, ever.

Nero is a poor encoder that has never been reliable. As a burner it lost me after 5.5.

You are also discussing downloaded material, which contravenes the forum rules - next time hide the names of your files.

Finally, you seem to be trying to crush the life out of over compressed source files. What are you intending to play such lower resolution, badly compressed files on ?

Codec packs often contain outdated, mis configured and clashing setups. They rarely uninstall cleanly, leaving lots of crap in the system, and when something does inevitably go wrong, it is difficult to determine what and where because you have no idea what has been done to your PC.

Playback is simple - use VLC or The KM Player and you don't need to install many codecs at all. Otherwise use Mediainfo or g-spot to determine what codecs you need, and install just those codecs. At worst, install FFDShow, which is cleaner and smarter than a warez based codec pack (and let's face it, most codec packs are created for and promoted by warez sites because the people who visit said sites are invariable lazy and/or dumb). I have not used a codec pack in years (probably since my celeron 500 days when I was young and foolish), and there is nothing that I cannot play or convert.

As for encoders, try Xvid4PSP, which can convert most formats to most formats.
