Hi ... I have this movies which came in separate AVI files . Each file is about an hour long . Is there any tool or program which will join these 2 files together and make it like a single movie ?

    XP Pro sp3 ...

avidemux, open first avi, file->append the other, save as a new avi.

  3. Virtualdub - using the same technique that Baldrick is talking about.

VirtualDub's a little more strict on the conditions of the joining, though. The two videos to be joined have to have exactly the same encoding details (video and audio).
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

Shouldn't that be a given? Otherwise, you run the risk of the audio being a different length than the video.

Oh, definitely. I think AVIdemux is supposed to be a little easier to work with than VirtualDub when joining videos, though, and that's what I actually intended to say.

...but Virtualdub will refuse to join two clips that it created itself using the exact same specs because it decided to put a 1 at the end.

    EXAMPLE: 29.970000000000 and 29.970000000001
