Watching WMV files either online or offline was not a problem....until...
I installed a Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 a few months ago and now
the majority (95% at least) of the time...WMV files are nothing but a jumbled
mess of colored blotches/blocks with the top left corner of the file completely
    blank.
Codec Sniper shows no Windows related codecs broken...and Windows
says I have the best driver for the cam already installed.
It may or may not even be related to the Lifecam...I can't be sure.
Other video and audio files play perfectly in Windows Media Player.

Any ideas where else I can look?

Thank You in advance if you have any suggestions.

    That worked.....but why?
I seemed to have jumped from WMP9 to WMP11 and I
    receive regular Windows updates....or don't I?
