My DVD player automatically shortens avi filenames. Is this a function of the player itself or the burn sotware? Can I correct it? I'm using „Burning Studio 6“ on winxp. Thanks

You can discover the answer yourself very simply. Put the DVD in your computer. Look at the filenames. If they are shortened, then the burning software is responsible. If they are not shortened on the computer, then your DVD player is to blame.
