I have a dual boot (both XP pro) box with 2 LG burners, a DVD and a Blu-Ray (both are sata drives), where the DVD burner speed is just under 1x with the Primary boot. The BD burner is OK. Tried installing the driver but still same.
With the secondary boot, the DVD burner will max at 6x on the read test with "Nero speed test" which might be a little low but acceptable.
Any one know of any reg settings or simalar DMA/PIO settings for sata drives?
TIA
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Try deleting the sata controllers from the device tree and then reboot.
