    Hey!!!
I have a DVD file with two audio channels and want to convert it to AVI
when I use any converter, then only 1st audio channel is encoded
    not the 2nd one.
Someone told me to use "Virtual Dub" or "Avi Demux"
I tried but in vain , couldn't find a way to do that.

    can anyone provide some help
regarding how to use these softwares...
    thnkx

Open it in DVD Shrink, re-author, select just the title you want, and the audio track you want, abd save it to your HDD, then process this version with AutoGK

but what to do, when I want both the channels in a single avi file.

  4. I don't think you mean to say channels. That would be like the left and right channels of a single audio track. You want to include 2 audio streams or tracks in the AVI. One might be in Hindi, the other in English, or something like that. If you already have the AVI with one track, then open it in VDub(Mod). Set the Video for Direct Stream Copy (no reencoding). Add in the second audio track and then save. If you're just starting over again, then guns1inger's suggestion will work, as AutoGK can include 2 audio tracks.

    Thnkx Manono..
    I'll u everything now,
Its a 0.99GB (vob) file having two audio tracks
I have compressed it using DVD Shrink, now its 580MB having two audio tracks.
    Its okie.
But I want to know that can we separate this file
into two videos having their respective Audio tracks.
I tried using DVD cutter and DVD knife, but in vain.
    Is it possible ???

  6. Your original post asked how to encode that VOB to AVI with the 2 audio tracks. Didn't it? Did you ever make the AVI?
But I want to know that can we separate this file
Separate it how? Do you want to get the video and 2 audio tracks out of it? If so, open the VOB in DGIndex and then File->Save Project and Demux Video. That will give you the video (M2V) and the 2 audio tracks (the 2 AC3 audio files).
