    Just noticed the new firmware update (090416_01_BDP1500_XEF_ISO), so i'm going to take the plunge and install it. Will report back if there's anything interesting...

    I can now play "AVCHD on BD/DVD-R" discs created with multiAVCHD (which I could never get to work before).

    So far so good.

    I've been thinking about buying the samsung bdp1500, since I have seen it for $200 now. Does it have any issues playing any blu ray movies that you've seen.
