I dont know if this is the right place to post this but when I load a mt2 file into ripbot it thinks for a while and say demuxing selected streams then media player classic opens and says opening and nothing happens after that in ripbot and media player classic. I have no codec packs installed.

    Thanks In Advanced.

PLEASE give as MUCH information as possible and it is MUCH easier to help.

    A mt2s from a blu-ray ? or a mt2 from camcorder or ?
Can you play the mt2 with media player classic? Be sure to install ffdshow if not.

You can also try convert to mkv/mp4 using handbrake or xvid4psp.

What video and audio codecs does the mt2 contain? Identify using MediaInfo.

And have you installed a newer version of ffdshow? And be sure to enable vc-1,h264 decoding in the ffdshow codecs settings.

tmiller_15 - Welcome to the forums, but we still need more info than you are giving us. The less you say, the less likely you are to get help.

    1) Has Ripbot EVER worked for you on BluRay input?
    2) Did you rip this BluRay yourself? If yes, what did you rip it with? Is your ripper up to date? What is the movie? (There may be special problems with it - you should definitely do an internet search on that.)

If you just got it from some P2P place, well, it could be corrupted. You have no control over what others do with videos they make available and other people don't always know what they are doing.

    Hi,

Yes Ripbot has worked on this pc a couple of months ago before I formatted it due to other reasons. I don't think there was anything different about mu setup than last time. This bluray is a genuine bluray and anydvd removes the protection fine. I have tried both with reading from the disc and copying it to my hard drive.

The bluray is Qautum Of Solace.

I dont know what more information I can provide screenshot?

Just out thinking what codecs should I download and have on my pc for playing x264 movies avi etc and flac audio and for programs like me gui ripbot etc...

Also will the latest version of ffdshow work with ripbot (I am using the one that is required by ripbot that I got from there source forge page).

I should also add in that I have been researching this a lot and have not been able to find anything that helps.

When loading the file in to Ripbot it media player classic says opening thats it.

If trying to open a mt2 file from media player classic then it says.

Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed on the system.
The following pin(s) failed to find a connectable filter:

Ok, have done that and now there is a new problem. Media Player Classic opens up and give this message.

    DirectShowSource: couldn't open file D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\video.mkv:
No combination of filters could be found to render the stream
    (D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line2)

    Also thanks for the help.

    Thanks for the reply.

libavcodec is enable under h264 and have gone through and checked all of the other codecs and they are fine.

I am using ffdshow rev2633 is this a problem as it is not the new one but the one that ffdshow asks for?

I have also tried running this in a vm and it does the same thing.

What is a list of codecs programs etc I should have installed on my system in order for ripbot to run?

I have had this problem and have no idea what the cause is. However, when the next version of Ripbot is released, which is fairly often, the problem goes away. And with one of the later releases it comes back again. My advice is to wait for the next release of Ripbot and see if it works. If it does, leave well enough alone and continue to use that version.

Have you tried using any version of ffdshow more recent than rev2633? (Have rev2633's installer around, just in case.) In theory, it shouldn't have a problem with the more recent builds.

tmiller_15 - if you open the m2ts directly in mpc, or render it in graphstudio , what happens?

I suspect you have system issues, and no version of ripbot (using directshowsource() )will work until you get that sorted out

Another alternative is to use DGAVCIndex, make your .avs script then feed that into ripbot, this way you don't use directshow system
