I'm trying to convert VobSub subtitles to SRT but get it to work.
I tried Subtitle Workshop and vobsub and subrip but none of did the trick.
    Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

Why didn't vobsub and subrip work ? Any errors?

You can also try avidemux, under tools->OCR(vobsub -> srt).

  3. Are they ripped from a DVD ? Why didn't subrip work? Was there an error message?

It would be easier (instead of doing ocr manually) if it is a common movie , to download them from a subtitle database (e.g. opensubtitles.org, search for many more)

No,they are not ripped from a DVD.
    I didn't get any error,just nothing worked.
I tried avidemux but I always get the error "idx file doesn't exist "
The subtitle extension is lhn and acording to the site I downloaded it from I need to run vobsub if I want it to work on my pc,but I want to burn it with a video file so I need to convert it to srt.

What is all this about lhn subs? Seems to be a special format that requires a special vobsub.
