    Hi. I have a Pioneer DVR-650H-S HDD DVD recorder with firmware version 1.44 and I was wondering if there is any newer version, official or otherwise. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Your DVR is made for the Region 4 market!
    It can still be region free
    Normaly all Region 4 products are region free, this is due to import and export laws of Australia!

    Only Pioneer Europe releases firmwares for DVR's, I dont know why!
    You just have to ask Pioneer in Argentina to send you an update disc for your DVR!

    Just dont use the firmwares found at Pioneer Europe, they are only intended for region 2 DVR's except DVRS intended for Japan!
