Hello All,
Newbie here... I've got a .trp file that looks a bit jumpy when it is streamed.. Using MediaInfo ( below is the output ) I noticed that the video was encoded at 25fps and I thought that may be the issue.. I've been trying a couple different software packages to change the fps rate ( Xilisoft, SUPER ), but all of them seem to choke on the "Video #2" stream, and the new file only shows Video #1 but no Video #2 stream.
So my question is.. Do I first need to separate the video and audio streams, then re-encode the frame rate, then mux them back together? If so, how? It looks like this video has a menu structure also for the 2 video streams, so which software would allow creation of a menu structure in a transport stream?
Thanks,
Jay

where'd the .trp come from and what are you trying to do with it?
you would have to re-encode it to change the framerate. the second video looks like it's not real or meaningful at 192x192. the menus are useless also, and need to go. see if avidemux can load it and then you could re-encode video 1 and the audio to something useful.
it may be your comp isn't fast enough to play it as is. -
h264ts_cutter has a trp=>ts tool , you can select which tracks to keep
take the .ts and you can extract the raw streams or change the fps without re-encoding with tsmuxer. You can also select which tracks to keep.
Alternatively you could re-wrap the raw streams in .mkv for example (mkvmerge) and change the fps without re-encoding
But I doubt the fps is the cause of your problems. -
Thanks both for you replies.. This is a stream used for showing HD video across DSL equipment.. There is a streaming pc on one end, and a STB on the other.. A second similar HD clip that i use works fine across the setup with a frame rate of 29.97fps, just this one doesn't look smooth so I thought maybe it was the frame rate.
The second stream on this video, is a smaller version of the main stream encoded at 192x192 and is used to show a PIP of the channel on the TV screen, so I'd like to keep it..
What could I use to create a stream like this one ( with 2 video streams and 1 audio stream ) off any HD video stream? I'm assuming I'd have to re-encode the original stream to a new file and change the scale size ( to 192x192 ) but then how to I mux the 2 streams together into a .ts stream ( like the one above with 2 MPEG streams and 1 audio? )
Thanks!
