Hello, i am trying to add Subtitles ( *.srt ) to my Valkyrie film and I am using AVIAddXSubs because it is so fast. But when i try to watch into my PC or my DVD hardware the subtitles are in very Worng position.
How can i solve this problem. That program has a Subtitle Position ( Center and vertical ) but i am a newbie and can't understand these things.
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this or any other fast software..Help please. Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Moving you to our subtitle section.
Haven't you just tried some different values and see how it looks like? -
maybe you got the wrong fps settings.
right click your movie file, select properties then choose the details tab.
now look for frame rate (i think), it should say something like 23 or 25 frames/sec.
25 frames/sec means you have PAL movie, while anything else probably indicate NTSC movie.
return to AviAddXSubs and select "Configuration 1" tab.
on the right, choose the correct setting according to the numbers you just saw.
you'd notice the resolution stated next to each setting, the rule of thumb is to subtract 30 of the right element and write the number in the "Vertical Position" field. -
I'm new to this as well but have figured out what to do. You need to download MediaInfo https://www.videohelp.com/tools/MediaInfo This will tell you the framerate but more importantly the width and height of the video you want to add subtitles too. In AVIAddXSubs program under the configuration1 Tab and Subtitle Bitmap click the radio button beside custom, and simply input the width and height data obtained from MediaInfo program Since all movies dont have the same aspect ratio you need to change them everytime you add subtitles to a different movie. I like to make the vertical position value 5 less than the overall Height of the avi. file.
Also have found that subtitles downloaded from www.allsubs.org aren't always in sync. Easy subtitle synchronizer makes life really easy. http://easysubs.no-ip.info/ess/ Subtitles can be fixed rather quickly by simply Adjusting times of first and last spoken subtitles, then repair subtitles automatically. Very handy.
