    I tried using ToNMT but that did nothing to reduce the size of the movie. I'd like to use something that will retain most of the PQ but in a much smaller file size. Any recommendations?

    Use MakeMKV and make a MKV from the HD DVD. Shrink the MKV using Handbrake.

    If MakeMKV wont work then have you tried Ripbot264 or Xvid4psp?
