Want to make hi-def DVD to play in blu-ray player

I have downloaded HD footage from my camcorder that I want author as a short blu-ray disc and burn on standard DVD+R or -R. I know that DVDMovieFactory 6+ will burn HD-DVDs onto DVDs but it won't do blu-ray burns on DVD. Is there any way to do this?

If it's an AVCHD camcorder, you can use multi-avchd to author, imgburn to burn (udf 2.5)

does not need to be AVCHD.......
