Is it possible to do that ?
Suppose I have a film I recorded via satellite from Film4.
That means apart from the padding I might have 3 or 4 commercial breaks.
Now I would like to cut them from the file, and at the same time keep the DVB or Teletext subtitles that are within it.
So I would like the end result to be a .TS file, but only containing the film with the audio and the subtitles.
What I did so far :
1) demultiplex with Project X
I can get the Teletext subtitles from this in SRT format.
2) cut with cuttermaran
3) remux with ImagoMpegMuxer.
The result ?
Audio and video are there, but the subtitles are gone.
Although I still have them in an SRT format I got from step 1, they are not synced with the film anymore, of course, because of all the cuts.
So that was my way, now what is the right way to do this ?

What I do is use ProjecX to edit and demux - this give me a video, audio and srt file and everything is in sync. I then use Womble to combine the video and audio and maybe a little bit of processing but no more cuts or editing otherwise the subs will be out of sync and a trip to Subtitle workshop will be required. Then with the MPEG2 file plus the matching srt file I make a ISO file that i can play over my network. That suits my set up and I'm sure there are many other ways to do it

Hey, this is funny.
You know, I have Videoredo TV Suite (bought it legally !), and I thought it didn't work with subtitles.
But they have hidden that option really well (you have to use Shift-Options to see hidden options where you can enable subtitles !!!).
So I had the option to do it all along, and I didn't know it.
I feel so stupid, on the other hand I 'm really glad, because I 'm already quite familiar with VRD editing.
BTW : Thanks Netmask56 for the detailed wiki about ProjectX, I learned a lot about ProjectX like that.
