A buddy of mine has the 3576 and the unit does not recognize USB Flash drives, but does recognize a Micro SD Card thru a card reader, but not all avi's on it. It has no problem recognizing these avi's when burnt onto a disc. I thought it may be a firmware issue, but Philips website has nothing on upgrading it for this unit.

Anyone run into this same problem? "Unknown USB Device/File"[/video]

3575 and 3576 only read audio through the USB port. No known firmware hack for it yet. Real long detailed thread on these PVRs over at AVS forum.

Make sure the flash drive is formatted to FAT32.

What a total bust. The drive is formatted to FAT32. I guess Philips expects you to buy one of their player only models in addition to this recorder.
