Okay, i did a search for Verbatim DL+R & came up with
No topics or posts met your search criteria, try use less keywords and be sure to use search terms with at least 3 characters(searching for example for DV wont work, use instead "dv to").
    Blah lbah blah...

So anyways, i usually buy my verbatims locally but this week they did not have DL+R's on sale with all the other Verbatim media & i need some BAD!!!

Where is a good, reliable, cheap & fast shipping online site to buy DL+R's ?
And also that i can make sure they are NOT MII !!!

They have these at newegg for $24.99 + free shipping but i'm not sure how to tell if they are MII or not??
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817130008

    Thanks!

They say Singapore and India, but at least there is a possibility to get what you want.

    I favor RIMA: http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/mercha...y_Code=DPLUSDL

    Or SuperMediaStore: http://www.supermediastore.com/dvd-p...r-section.html
    Or Meritline: http://www.meritline.com/dvd-r-doubl...---c-7546.aspx

They are all fairly fast for shipping. You can probably dig around in the comments section for some of the retailers to see what version they are.

SuperMediaStore seems to have some made in Singapore 20 disc cakeboxes for $28US. http://www.supermediastore.com/verba...a-20-pack.html About $1.40 each.

Well, searching backasswards rarely proves successful. Searching for
    Verbatim DVD+R DL
    provides a plethora of results.

I have been buying the following Verbatim DVD+R DL discs (NOT the same as you found) at Newegg for some time:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817130029
They've all been Made in Singapore. I just bought some a few weeks ago - Made in Singapore. I read that Verbatim now only uses India for lower speed DL discs. All the 8x-10x DL discs are only Made in Singapore. The ones you found are lower speed rated and may be Made in India.

Newegg will NOT guarantee you that won't get MII discs, but I have bought the 15 pack I linked to 2 times in the past 6 or so months and they are only Made in Singapore.

Finally, note that Verbatim's 2.4x speed DataLifePlus DVD+R DL discs that are inkjet printable are ONLY Made in Singapore. I have some of these too. They simply do NOT use India for any of the DataLifePlus DVD manufacturing. Their high quality Taiwan branch produces the DataLifePlus single layer DVD discs.

At the risk of being flamed- Sam's Club online has them for 59.74 for a spindle of 50. My local Sam's only carries MIS and MIT. Not sure what they are shipping online.

I can second this. I just bought some from rima.
The come in a normal container like the show in the picts, then that is inside a box that looks like it's straight from the manufacturer.

Here's the top of the box

    Why is it "backasswards" ??

Doing a search for "verbatim DL" returns nothing, "verbatim DL +R returns nothing...

If just doing "Verbatim DL" returns nothing just because i did not include "DVD+R" then i would say it's the search function that is "backasswards"
Because it should still search out and find the word verbatim & DL.

I just typed "verbatim dl" into the Google search text box at the top of my browser and got lots of hits. "Shopping results" alone returned 2 lists, one with 103 and one with 84 stores. Amazing that we'd have such different experiences with the same search.

Oh really... well good for you....
I was using the search feature "here", to search "our" forums for people that have posted "here" with "real" experience, as i wanted actual reliable results from real people who have frequented this board & used online sellers/sites, not a bunch of paid BS advertisements from GOOGLE

Damn!!! 3 years and still nothing

Hey now, just answering a question.
Besides, the list includes a number of stores "off the beaten path", and some of the do have DVD+R DL Verb specials -- even regular prices -- that are really good.

Now how do you know they are made in Singapore ??

I see someone mentioned in the comments about the diff. packaging but i don't think that is a sure fire way to tell.

Sorry, I really did not understand how you were conducting your search. I do a fair amount of online shopping using Google. I use the non-paid links on the left-hand side of the page. That's where I found another "Buy.com" deal, Verbatim 8x DVD+R Double Layer Media - $37.27 for a 30 disc spindle, free regular shipping or $5.49 for 2nd day express shipping.

Assuming 8x media works with your burners and is always MIS, that sounds like a reasonably good deal to me. I haven't purchased anything from Buy.com so I can't comment on what they are like, but I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings with Newegg.

Unless they buy direct from the factory, I don't think any on-line store can guarantee the lower-speed Verbatim DL discs are going to come from a particular source.

I use the Google Product Search page. You need to have the exact name of the item, manufactures number helps, then see who has it for less, checking of course to see if the seller is reputable. Got some good deals this way.

It looks like the best deal at present is the 95484's at Meritline. However I haven't bought any for awhile and don't know the current quality. Verbatims bought before mid-2007 were all good, then I started to get some flakey stuff thereafter. They became unreliable by early 2008. I haven't bought any since then and have been living off my old stock. If I could find and verify a good current batch, I would stock up again, but I'm very leary of Verbatim DL discs now. That said, I believe the faster 8x discs are better than the 2.4x discs now. It used to be that the 2.4x disks made in Singapore were superb, but not any more, and the last batch of them I received made in Singapore were pure junk.

The verbatim DL from newegg arrived & they are the "Made In Singapore".

$25.00, Free shipping & it only took 2 days, i know they are usually pretty fast on shipping.

I'm just glad i did not open them and find MII

The correct name for the discs is DVD+R DL. It is not DL+R. That's why what you did is backasswards. In the end you did get your discs, but learning how to do a proper search could have saved you a lot of trouble, couldn't it?

Actually, neither "Verbatim DVD+R" nor "verbatim DL" return any results in the VH search, even with "all forums" checked.

    Nor does "DVD+R DL", either.

Using Google within the VH forums can be a better choice than the site's own search function. Both Google searches I tried here returned multiple hits within VH for "Verbatim DL".

Whether the normal search succeeds or fails, there's a link on the page that says something like: "Click here to search for Verbatim DL using Google in our Forum." Using the search box in the top right-hand corner of a VH page, also ran a Google search of VH.
