    I have that unit. I'm not aware of it being possible to change the firmwire without physically changing the chip.

    Is there something specific you are trying to do (a hack)?

    yes i wanna change the region code but theres is a password on it. i need to get rid of the password before i can region-hack the set.

    You can't get one...

    Do you have the NS-DVD1-A or the older NS-DVD1? The -A version doesn't support the hack:

    I have the original version and the hack worked fine.
