is there any guide for authoring true 5.1 dvd video? please i am newbei in this area
If your AVI file already has 5.1 audio then try DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD. These will create a valid DVD structure and keep the AC3 audio if it is compliant.
If the audio is 5.1 then there really isn't a lot you can do. It is possible to create a fake 5.1 from a stereo track, but the results are far from true 5.1, and often inferior to what a good Dolby Pro Logic II amplifier can do.
thanks a lot!
so i just have to drag and drop with software u suggested
to author real 5.1 dolby digital dvd?
my video file contains
Video: DivX 5 616x336 25.00fps 829Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 192Kbps [Audio 1]
i gonna play this dvd on my dvd player having dolby pro logic 2 (dolby digital/ dts) surround
will it fine with dvd
With Nero if you have Smart Encoding ticked at the last step it will tell you if it's gonna re-encode. Video and Audio Smart Encoding percentages will be listed. But your 'AC3 48000Hz 6ch 192Kbps' might trigger a re-encode as Nero uses 192Kbps for 2ch and 448Kbps for 5.1. You could also set Nero's audio manually to 5.1.Originally Posted by namesake

yes its ac3 not aac
do i need re encode the audio or not to maintain its 5.1 feature? yes then how
Too late for that. It's already wrecked. You may as well use it as-is.Originally Posted by namesake
Have you also checked it on your speaker system(this video file contains six different channel sound tracks i have checked it on nero)
Nero 6 and higher are not a reliable source of information.

well not on my pc speaker system.(2.1) my home theater system is connected to my dvd player and its fixed
so that why i want to take it on dvd disk?
is there any software who give me complete information about video audio properties? (reliable)
I love it when a plan comes together!

thanks! information is same as above just bitrate problem. its 192 kbps instead of 448 kbps
isnt there any way to reencode bitrate of audio?
if i burn with same 192 kbps bitrate what will happen?
waiting ur answer

hi
as stated earlier conversion with convertxtodvd or dvdflick is easiest option to create dvds.
i did that till i bought dvd player that handles divx.
now they play with full 5.1 and if the avi is not compatible with your divx player i reencode with virtualdubmod to divx
so u can create dvds with 5.1 or simply play avis with 5.1 as divx (often xvids play on my player)
saves time if u dont need a dvddoorman
thanks i'll go with same bitrate. i play file on pc on 2.1 and it gave me marvelous performance on audio it was very clear and loud
i just want to know is it possible to upscale the bitrate?
if yes then how?
It's a waste of time and can only degrade the audio.Originally Posted by namesake
