Hey guys,
Could use a bit of advice here. I've been successfully uploading AVI
files to YouTube at 720P, and they've been coming through fine.
But it's my understanding that h.264 is a more advanced compression
that would result in smaller files with potentially higher video
quality. Before I purchased VideoStudio X2, I read a review that
indicated it could indeed generate h.264 encoded files in 1080P, so
I've got to think the software is capable of to creating 720P files as
well.
Trouble is, it seems like all the h.264 encoding options X2 offers are
for cellphones and other small devices. Can somebody walk me through
using VideoStudio X2 to create a YouTube-ready h.264-encoded file with
720P resolution?
Thanks so much!

YouTube uses flash and converts whatever you send to flash.
Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

In other words, whatever you save in - DivX, Xvid, Mpeg2 or h264, Youtube is still going to convert it to Flash.
Your video looks great already - it's better than 99% of the other Youtube stuff - saving in another codec would be like taking sand to the beach. If you want to do anything, see if there's a plugin called something like "Dynamic Range Compression" or "Compressor" for the audio track. That'll even out the volume changes of your normal speaking voice.
