I have a couple of avi files with audio that only plays on the right or left speakers. How do I fix them so that the audio plays on both the right and left side? The audio format is mp3.

You could try the freeware audio editor Audacity. Add the Lame MP3 codec if you don't already have it installed. Then duplicate the mono channel in Audacity to a second channel and output as MP3 again. You can demux the audio from the original file with VirtualDub, then add back in the new two channel audio. Leave VD open while you process the audio, then it's easier to add it back in.

Use Direct Stream copy for muxing the audio and video back together when you finish. Only takes a short time.

    And welcome to our forums.
