    Hi
New to this but would appreciate any help.
I have a Hitachi AX-M79 home cinema system that I have had for approx 4 years.
It's been brilliant but recently its been acting up! After playing perfectly for 30 mins or so the picture starts jumping around the screen.
It is connected to a new Sony Bravia 32" lcd tv. I have tried switching scart connections but to no joy. Not aware of having done anything to it so help would be aprreciated.
    Ta

Well, you could try cleaning the lens as sometimes (NOT always) that helps. Consumers don't like to hear this, but the reality is that DVD players are NOT built to last and you have to replace them. Cheaper and cheaper components get used in manufacturing them and designs don't dissipate heat very well, which leads to heat damage and having to replace players sooner than consumers would like. It's not unusual for a DVD player to have to be replaced after 3-4 years.
