When I open ripbot and select one of the files inside the stream folder of a blu-ray backup on my HDD (3:10 to Yuma), it says the movie is 2 something hours long, but when the conversion is done, the MKV file is only 50 minutes, which is half the movie. I tried selecting different files, but the result is the same. I also didn't tell ripbot to limit file size.

How can I convert the whole movie?
    thanks

I would try make one .ts file from the blu-ray using tsmuxer and then convert it. See http://forum.videohelp.com/topic358185.html#problems

What Baldrick said. Rip the BD to your HDD. Then use tsMuxeR to choose your .m2ts file. Check the size of the .m2ts file. It should be about 20 -30 GB. If it's smaller, the movie is probably on more than one .m2ts file. You can append the files together. Also select the audio track you want. They are usually labeled. Click 'Start muxing' when you have the desired combination. Drop the resulting file into RipBot and you should be good to go.

You may find a few BD titles need this and even fewer are very difficult to backup.

    And welcome to our forums.

You may run into the occasional BD disc that refuses to convert correctly, even with ripping it to the HDD and using tsMuxeR. I had one that I bought used with a tiny scratch and that appeared to be the problem. It also stuttered on playback at that location. A friend with the same disc new was able to convert it just with RipBot.

If most all other BD discs work and the problem is just that one, that sort of points to the disc. Sorry.
