    Hi.

I have downloaded a film, But it's in EF File format.

The instructions read. When fully downloaded change file name to RAR. Which i did thinking i could left click extract file but this did not work.

Can someone please explain how i change EF File in to a format that can be played.

    Thanks

    UPDATE

I have just run it through the Gspot software and it confirmed the following. File Type: RAR file (.RAR)
    Mime Type: application/x-rar-compressed

Can someone please advise. As i cannot extract? (It's just a blank white file)

    Thanks

It may just be a fake file or a trojan/virus/worm. Are there any comments on it from other downloaders? Renaming a RAR archive to something else sounds suspicious.

    Thanks redwudz for your reply.

The file size is 574 MB - 588,017KB

I scanned the file with SUPERAntiSpyware Professional. Norton. Malwarebytes. just to make sure. And it come back clean.

    Thanks

I'm surprised no one answered this. It is a compressed format. DivX plays it.
It's usally small resolution. DoN't be afraid that DivX doesn't have it among the supported formats just select All files and open it. It'll play with audio and video.
